Your first dental appointment in our office is our chance to get to know you personally as well as for you to meet our staff and doctors and feel comfortable with us.  We hope to build a relationship of trust with all of our patients so that they are confident in our work and trust our team to take care of all their dental needs.

You will be with one of our dental hygienists where your medical history and paperwork will be reviewed, appropriate radiographs taken as well as periodontal (gum) measurements and charting.  If you have been seen recently and have existing x-rays, we will try and transfer them from your previous office.

Depending on the state of your gum health, the hygienists will then begin the cleaning and polishing of your teeth.  At that time, any tips or instructions regarding your brushing and flossing will be reviewed.

The doctor will then come in and do a thorough exam of your teeth and soft tissue which include the gums, cheeks, tongue etc.  The x-rays will be reviewed with you and explained and a treatment plan recommended.
